Ranting has become my daily routine. But it won't be one this time, because I have a serious incident to tell you. I am going to tell you this but promise me one thing. You would not get angry. Promise?
So, the story goes like this. My mom is going as an escort teacher in one of the National-Level Karate Tournament tomorrow. She calls the parent for the itinerary and the essentials to pack. So far, it was all set. The parents are now aware of the fact that with whom their child would be under. Meanwhile, the mother, whom my mom was talking to, comes up to inform her about an incident that took place inside the school premises. I should tell you, that my mom was entirely unheard and unknown about this mishap.
My mom, very delicately with subtle curiosity asks her about the happenings. The mother suddenly bursts with a common-tuned motherly sorrow. She begins by saying that, her boy had to go through violent, harassing, abusive behaviour from the Karate teacher at school. Knowing this my mom was out-and-out shocked. She continued further with the incident. When the practice was going on, the boy hits the Karate teacher and by game-rule, he had to defend it on the first go. But the teacher failed to defend and missed that chance. For your information, the child is in 8th grade, and he is specially abled. I got to know later, he is deaf and dumb, both.
After the passage of few minutes, he asks the child to not defend. He commanded the boy to not defend his hit. The boy agreed. A boy of, say thirteen or fourteen got the very basic education from his home, that teachers are next to God. Or may be they are the God. In Eastern culture it is taught at the very grassroot level that Guru is Godly-illumined. They are the prominent personalities who act like a fountainhead of knowledge, warmth, and divinity.
Until now what you know is that the boy agrees to his command. In the following moment, the teacher asks to open up his head safeguard. Subsequently, this time the boy refuses to keep it aside. The teacher formerly knew about his recent ear operation. But he makes him forcefully to do it. He hits the boy, and the boy gets a contusion just above his ear. Ecchymosis is the medical term for contusion, which is again commonly termed as bruises (he got not the blue ones, but both red and blue ones). Apart from the devilish action, he plays a tricks with his parents and verbally abuses and unprofessionally harasses his parents when they visits school. He envies the child's capability and most distantly jealous of the institution; under which he is flourishing without the teacher's name which causing him zero fame. As a Guru, his conduct and the way of his approach is unjustified. Like him, many normal and fit looking men are toiling down the streets. Whom will they come under? Even after knowing about the beckoning call of the future, I don't think the Principal will take any action. Phobia begets phobia, and that begets criminals as such.
Does your imagination extends? As in, how much frustrated anger the teacher contains that pushes him to cause a powerful hit that painted on the child a blue and red contusion. Can you imagination the inner yelling of the thirteen year old? Who carries no words with him. But like us, just like any of us. He does carry a skin, a heart. The ordinary skin, the common heart; which me and you do skincare on, and the heart that perhaps pains the same way if could not see the familiar faces when you wake up in the morning. Do you feel the helplessness that he had to undergo?
Are we becoming poor souls by choice? If not, then what should be done. No one voices up until it is not occurring in their close circles.
The only message I want to pass on, if any parent is reading- Support your kids on their on and off days. I know whatever they discuss with you is not always very pleasing, because we are conventionally constructed humans already. This is how our parents structured us without showing pity. But one thing, I want to throw the limelight on, and that is 'being there' for them. Not always life is about competing, life is about living, and mainly living only. If someone is failing to live with good health and happy mind, there won't be any peace at the end of the day to any household. Let children breathe, and do not forget, or ignore their feelings to save your time to watch T.V and chomp.
You upset or what? Got angry? But you promised me, you won't.

Write up for practice kindness. Love this.
ReplyDeleteYes, I'd surely. Thanking God from pulling me out of writers' block. I want to thank that teacher too, who sparked me. Also, thank you for spending the time to give it a read. This will keep me jolted.
